Records n Masters

It’s worthwhile that the contemporary deals clarify „Records“ to mean any kind of delivery of your performances for customer use, weather sound alone or with visuals. This is designed to assimilate and reintegrate the internet.

The genuine recording made in the studio or a final bounce from a DAW is named a „Master“ because it is the final unity from which all copies are made. Back in the old days, it used to be a „Master Tape“, and a number of machines were making copies from that one upscale tape. The copies were called „Slaves“. 😘
